Thank you for sharing bits of your adoption process and story - it is honest, warm and beautiful. It encourages me as we begin to navigate the process ourselves. Thank you for that! xoHollyhttp://www.maisoneverett.comnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5537420320725314260.post-82123805393838489692014-10-29T20:10:52.384-07:002014-10-29T20:10:52.384-07:00Hey Lisa! For now, it's pretty informal, and the formalities of it really depend on how many people are there at each meeting. There are times when we only have 4 or 5 people, and in that case, we just sit around and chat. When we have a larger group (usually not more than10), we decided to give everyone a chance to share an update and what has been hard that particular month. That usually takes a while and sparks a lot of great conversation. The group may grow into something that needs a little more structure or curriculum, but for now, it's great having it be more informal. It's just nice for everyone to be together and feel known. I would definitely encourage you to do something similar!Mindy Swenson Kinnierhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11511083744644878700noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5537420320725314260.post-71982174786442879112014-10-29T19:12:29.244-07:002014-10-29T19:12:29.244-07:00I loved hearing about your group (and your son is ...I loved hearing about your group (and your son is such a doll!). I'd be interested in hearing more about your group and how it works. I've thought about starting something similar, but I just have no idea where to begin. I have all these questions about whether it should informal or formal, with a curriculum or just sitting and chatting, etc. I'd appreciate hearing anything you'd be willing to share!
