If you were at my wedding, you may remember how you found your seat. My plan was to have the placecards on a table when people walked into the reception. You know, like normal weddings have. But that's not how it happened. Apparently the table was too small. So, unbeknownst to me, this is what happened.
Notice the placecards on the plates under a spoon. (Uncle George clearly thought this pictures was being taken of him. It was his birthday after all.)
Throughout the entire wedding, I was unaware of this spoon change. Not until we got back from our honeymoon and were purusing our wedding pictures did I see this. And I was horrified. I tell you, I lost sleep that night (and many nights after). And then my dreams would taunt me. I kept having dreams that we got to do our wedding over again and that I got to fix the placecards. And then I'd wake up. This was definitely not what I was going for.
But, today I feel vindicated. Because today, I found this.

And so you see, now I can claim that the placecard spoons on the plate were totally what I was going for. Because, I don't follow trends. I MAKE TRENDS. And they are totally following mine.
Speaking of weddings, the post that I did for Molly and Eddie's wedding was featured on Flamingo Toes' facebook page and 504 Main's facebook page! Isn't that so exciting?!
