My sister, Kristina, got engaged last weekend. Nick and I were away in Sacramento for Grandpa Ardnt's funeral (Nick's grandpa). It was a very good weekend. We really enjoyed hanging out with Nick's family and I got to meet some of his cousins who I have never met. The memorial service was really special and I'm so glad we got to be there for it. On the Saturday of the memorial service, my Kristina's boyfriend (now fiance), Sean, flew her to Catalina for the day. While they were there, he proposed. She was playing with a rock by the water, so he grabbed it from her and put it in his pocket. When she demanded that he give it back, he pulled what she thought was the rock out of his pocket and put it in her hand. He actually pulled the ring out of his pocket instead and then got down on his knee and proposed. We are all so excited for them. We love Sean and can't wait for him to be in the family. And finally a brother for Nick (and me).
