Valentine's Day

I was very excited to have Valentine's Day off.  There was no school, which meant we got to enjoy the whole day!  We are way more breakfast people than dinner people (though we do like dinner too, and lunch, and desserts, especially desserts).  So, we decided to go out for breakfast in Laguna instead of doing dinner out with all the crowds.
We decided to try somewhere we have never been, so we went to the Orange Inn on PCH. It was great food and cheap!  And the best part is that it's been around since the 1930's.
It was a beautiful day, so we spent the rest of the morning walking on the beach and watching some paddleboarders face planting into the waves and seals playing in the water.
And, Nick can't watch paddleboarders and surfers without getting antsy and wanting to go out himself, so he spent the afternoon paddleboarding, while I spent the afternoon cleaning and doing laundry.  But that was a good thing.....I LOVE having free days to do that.  It was the best feeling to get all that done...and I had a fondue dinner to look forward to.
And now I have to think about taking all my hearts down....sad.
I think they can stay up for all of February, right?

  1. Wow. To have knees showing. That looks like a fun ♥ Day! (Ours was 100% normal day...except the peanut butter cups I made.)

It's been cold here despite the snow melting...but this week it's supposed to get to 60! Woo-hoo! It'll probably be so muddy that if our knees were to show, they'd be a dark, rich brown.

When you come out, I'll make you some no bakes if you stay with us!

You are coming out this summer, with Nick, right?
