Easter 2012

Easter Sunday started with our church service at the Pacific Amphitheatre.
Other than my shoulders getting burnt to a crisp, the service was amazing.  It always, always is.  But, the highlight was definitely getting to see Nick baptize a handful of the hundreds that were baptized that day.....so cool.
After church, we headed over to my sister Amy's place to have some lunch and relax for a little bit.  While we were there, she surprised us with Easter baskets.  So unexpected and nice.
We were poor little orphans this year without our parents to celebrate with, and we were also missing Kristina and Sean.  But, the four of us made due.
And, really it wasn't just the four of us.  We ended the evening having dinner with the rest of the family at my aunt and uncle's house.  It's so nice to have a big family.  It was a lovely, low-key Easter, celebrating Jesus and being with family.

"So then, since we have a great High Priest who has entered heaven, Jesus the Son of God, let us hold firmly to what we believe.  This High Priest of ours understands our weaknesses, for he faced all of the same testings we do, yet he did not sin.  So let us come boldly to the throne of our gracious God.  There we will receive his mercy, and we will find grace to help us when we need it most."
Hebrews 4:14-16

This was awesome:
