Thankful

This Thanksgiving is up there among my very favorites.  Others carry special meaning for different reasons, but obviously, having Silas this year gave the holiday a whole new meaning. We could not be more thankful for this kid of ours. He's seriously the best, and everyday I am in awe of the fact that we get to be his parents. We are the luckiest!

We were going to host dinner at our house, but at the last minute we had a change of plans.  Some friends of ours who were out of town offered to let us host Thanksgiving at their house, and we decided to take them up on the offer.  Just scroll through the pictures, and you'll understand why.
We spent the morning prepping the meal...some more than others...
Nick was in charge of the turkeys (we had two), and they were fabulous. We did Thanksgiving potluck style, so we had lots of food to enjoy.
After dinner, we lounged around, played some games, ate dessert and took lots of pictures.
Silas and his grandma
My grandma with Silas & Trevor...the cousins finally together for the first time!
Why not add one more great grandson to the pile!!
Having the cousins together meant cuteness overload and lots and lots of photo shoots. These two are only five weeks apart.
His first turkey day was a success!
The evening ended sitting outside by the fire, talking into the night.
It was a perfect day.
We are blessed, and I am thankful. Very, very thankful.

  1. Wow, what a home. Looks like a resort.
Your little guy gets cuter everyday.....how is that possible since he has been so cute from the beginning. I love the grandma pictures with the cousins.
    What fun.
