Kim Graduated. We Had a Party.

Kim is the cake maker in the family (as seen here), but Amy and I wanted to make one for her ourselves on her special day.  We baked it....then we made her do the rest.  We did make all the other food though, alongside our mother and aunties.
This pinwheel garland was so fun and easy to make. The congrats sign is just black construction paper, written on with chalk and strung together with ribbon.
Somehow I did not get any of the family photos that we took, so I will have to post those later.  And, I promise, there were guests at the party.  I guess I was a little too preoccupied taking pictures of the decorations to get any shots of real people.

Baccalaureate Bowling

After Kim graduated, we didn't really know what to do with ourselves.  We typically have a big party immediately following the big event, but we had to postpone that due to certain family members being out of town for an Alaskan cruise.  Um, where are your priorities, people?  So, after much debate, we landed on bowling.
Mom was the lady of the hour and blew everyone away with her crazy series of strikes.
Here is strike number five:
But, all good things come to an end, and this was a painful ending for her.

And bowling really is way more fun when there's a little competition.
Of course, team two really wasn't much competition for us, which I think is pretty obvious, based on the above evidence.

Still to come...Kim's graduation party (which we did finally get to have, once those particular family members got home.)

Kimberly Joy Graduates

Well, she did it.  Kimberly Joy Swenson graduated from Biola over Memorial weekend.  Sad to say, the Swensons are officially done with Biola.  That is unless any of them choose to pursue higher education, like myself.  But, that's doubtful.  I've always been considered the smart one in the family, and I don't foresee any of them following in my footsteps.  Okay, I totally just made that up.  Who did we consider the smart one in the family?  Anyways, this post is about Kim, not my above average intelligence.
So, Kim.  Here she is in all her cuteness and baccalaureate beauty.
Yes, I really am older than her.  I know that I look like I am 12 in this picture for some reason, but if you zoom in nice and close, you will see that I have significantly more wrinkles than her.
Now that she has that psychology degree, she likes to think she can psychoanalyze all of us.
Hello Jesus!
Yay Kim!  I am so proud of you!
I love you and am so excited for your next adventure!
