Tea Party!

Okay, so I have been HORRIBLE about blogging lately.  These last couple weeks feel like they have just exploded into craziness.  I have so much going on with all the end of the year events at school that I feel like I have had no time to do anything else.  But, I wanted to share pictures from the Birthday Tea that my sisters helped plan for me.  I know my birthday was over a month ago, but we used it as an excuse to do something fun with the girls.  So, here is is!
The guests!
We had all kinds of delicious teas to choose from, thanks to Esther sharing her supply with us.
We made little egg salad sandwiches, curry chicken sandwiches, cranberry orange scones with devonshire cream and lemon curd, and white chocolate covered brownie bites.
And of course Kimmy made an AMAZING cake!  It was so cute.
I made hair clips as favors for each of the girls and attached them to the napkins as napkin rings.
My sister Kristina made the invitations, the name cards, and the labels for the tea and food. We put the name cards in little jiffy pots with soil for planting.
We all had a lot of fun sitting around the table drinking tea and talking for a long time.  A lot of the girls did not end up leaving until one o'clock in the morning.  It reminded me of my oh so fun college days.
All the girls with the clips in our hair.

The day was fabulous...we need to do stuff like this more often!
(I am very happy to say that we did not spend a dime on these decorations.  All the flowers came from my backyard, which makes me so happy!)
