We were scheduled to tear down the wall between our dining room and living room yesterday, but then we started to have second thoughts. So, we are debating between 3 options right now....leave it as it is, tear it out completely, or make it a half wall or window cutout.
I have been looking online for inspiration. And, since my camera battery is dead, and I left the charger at my sister's house, I thought that I would put some of my favorites up here. That way I have them all in one place.
But I do have some seriously exciting things to blog about once I get that battery charged.....like one of my closest friends getting ENGAGED!
Okay, so on with the dining rooms....

+ The two pictures above are what made me think that I might like a cut out window in the wall instead of knocking out the whole thing. |

There are many, many more, but that is all I have time to post right now. I have been listening to Mumford and Sons non stop today.
I am obsessed with them right now.

I like the cut out window idea- it's nice to have a sense of separation between the kitchen and the dining room, but also allow for communication between the two rooms. The rounded half-dome cut-out appeals to my whimsical side. :-)

Are you taking votes? If so...I'm a big time Cape Cod decor fan. I tried to bring the beach to our house as much as possible since we will never be able to actually afford anything on the sand. So I love the lookk of the blue and white. In addition, We cut out our wall from the kitchen doorway and over about 5ft and made it a bar area for eating. It really increased the amount of seating available for guests.
ReplyDeleteOk, so I felt I needed to leave a comment, so I could make sure you still do a blog on my engagement. I like the window idea and really think as long as it was big enough it would look great. I also think putting an arch in the window would be nice.
